Jackie: Yes, John Cooley's Estate Distribution lists Louisa Jane. The list is as follows: Lavinia Cooley, widow $294.44; $65.43 to each of the following:
William Cooley, Elizabeth Walker, Henry Cooley, John Cooley, Sarah Seaman, Nancy Cooley, Willis Cooley, Joseph Cooley, and Louisa Jane Cooley. John Sr. died 10 Jul 1857, Sangamon Co, IL. A Sangamon Co History states that after the deaths of Joseph and Willis in the Civil War, Lavina and all the children moved to Kansas, which is not entirely true (Henry stayed in IL). I have a picture taken of Henry when he was 40-50 yrs old. The 1860 census, Sangamon Co, Il lists L. Cooley and daughters Nancy (idiotic since birth) and L. J. Henry Cooley lived next door. I feel certain this is all the same family. Did Louisa marry in Kansas? I would like to find the rest of the family, but didn't know where to look for them in Kansas. Terry
