I received jpegs of the following notices from Shirley Long in October 2007.
From the Brownstown Banner [Indiana], Thursday, 8 Aug 1895
Death of Carson Cooley.
Carson Cooley, who for many years has been engaged in the photography
business at this place, died at 5 o'clock on Thursday morning, August 1,
after an illness of only a few days, He was 44 years of age. He came here
from Bartholomew County. Several years ago he was married to Miss Belle
Adkins, daughter of Charles Adkins, of this place, by whom he had two
children, who, with the wife, survive him. The funeral took place on Friday,
with interment in the new cemetery.
Seymour Times [Indiana], 18 Jan 1866
At this place on the 16th inst. of chronic disease of the lungs and larynx,
Miss Belle Cooley, aged 32.
Seymour Democrat [Indiana], Thursday evening, 27 Sep 1900
Ella Cooley, daughter of Mrs. Belle Book, died Tuesday night, September 25,
1900, of membranous croup, aged 7 years. The remains were interred in
Fairview cemetery Wednesday afternoon.

Carson Cooley was the son of Bradley Cooley and Parthena Goss. He was married three times:
1. Patsy Maria Elkins
June 28, 1875, Jackson Co., Indiana
2. Minnie Edmondson
Jan. 9, 1883, Jackson Co., Indiana
Carson and Minnie were divorced; separated after only two months.
3. Effie Bell Atkins
Nov. 5, 1890, Jackson Co., Indiana
Two daughters, Rachel and Ella, of this union.
