The fact that William M Cooley of Stewart co TN is genetically tied to the Stokes co NC Cooleys increases the likelihood that Cornelius is the Cornelius Cooley of Stewart co who married Lucinda Cherry and died at New Orleans in 1815.

Aug 1815- inventory and sale of the estate of Cornelius Cooly by William Cherry, administrator.

7 Feb 1820- Court orders John Allen, Abner Pearce & John Lee to settle with William Cherry, administrator of Cornelius Cooley.
