John Cooley Dies In
Georges Twp Home
John Cooley, for the past 13 years well known Justice of the Peace, died in his home in Georges township Monday afternoon, January 30, 1933, at 12:25. he played a prominent part in the life of the community, being a charter member of the Knights of Pythias Lodge, Fairchance, and member of the Junior Order of American mechanics No. 167, Uniontown. He was 70 years, 10 months and 23 days old.
Surviving Mr. Cooley are his widow, Alice Humphreys Cooley and the following children Elmer E. Fairchance; Mrs. Roxie Bailey, Fairchance; Herbert F., Monongahela; Edward H., Point Marion; Ira S. Claymont, Del.; Mrs. Ida Hughes,
Fairchance; John W., Fairchance, and Homer T., Allison Park, Va. thirty grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren survive as do also two brothers Richard, Fairchance, and William S., Fairchance; and one sister, Mrs. Ida Moore, Smithfield.
Short services will be held in the home Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock followed by additional services in the Fairchance Presbyterian church, Rev. Dewey Smitley officiating, with Rev. C. D. A. Hoon assisting. Burial in Maple
Grove cemetery.
