That he is in Christian county increases the possibility that he was EC's brother. His mother is listed as being born in GA, his father in MO.

Hopkinsville Kentuckian, 1899

WANTED IN TENNESSEE

Bob Cooley, an Ex-Convict, Captured Here Saturday.

Bob Cooley was arrested here Saturday and placed in jail. Cooley is wanted
in Houston county, Tenn., on a charge of breaking open a storehouse and
taking $100 therefrom. Cooley is an ex-convict, having served two years in
the penitentiary for robbing Croft & Brasher's store at Crofton. While in
jail here, it will be remembered, he made his escape, but was later captured
near Cumberland City, Tenn., and returned for trial. He positively refuses
to be taken back to Tennessee without a requisition. The officers of the
latter state have been notified of his arrest.

I just responded to this gal's recent post (July 3rd?) looking for Milo Cooley:

Message Board Post:

I am seeking information on Milo Cooley, b. ca 1830-1840 TN, d. 1919 Kentucky, lived in TN and Christian Co., KY. His known children include Robert W. Cooley, Lincoln Cooley, and John Cooley, all b. in the 1860s in Kentucky. John d. 1923 in Robertson Co., Tenn. Robert died when he was struck by a train in 1902.

John's death record says his mother was Sarah Thoxton. Anyone have any information on this family?

OK. the part that made my heart skip a beat was that my great grandpa John's wife, Malinda F. Addison, was the daughter of Sarah Jane Thaxton! I asked her if she could share some info from this John's death record. Sounds like the same Milo, fer sure. I don't have a death record for my John but I've got a funny feeling... (I know, take a deep breathe.)

I also found a Kentucky Death Record (10045) for a Milo Cooley, died March 19, 1919 in Madisonville, Hopkins, KY but it only lists him as a widower, both parents unknown, all born in TN? Burial in Oddfellows Cemetery in Madisonville, same as E.C. Also of interest is that the informant on E.C. death record in 1922 was Link Cooley. Could this be Lincoln Cooley, son of Milo, and not E.C's son Leonard as I presumed?
