Pettit Texans, 1840

This came from Joyce LeRoux (1506 F.M. 407 East, Argyle, TX 76226). She explains, "Even if a man were married, he was counted as single unless he brought his family to Texas with him, but if brought his family to Texas or married within one of the allotment periods, he could apply for an Augumentation of his grant to that allowed under his new status."
