The Jonas Petit family had 1 male under 5, 1 male 10/15, 1 male 20/30, 1 male 30/40, 1 female 5/10, 1 female 10/15, 1 female 20/30. If this last given female was Elizabeth (Colvin) Pettit, it is in error and should read 30/40. In the 1820 census of Adams County, Green Township, Ohio, Jonas Pettit and family were living next to George Colvin. The Pettit family contained 1 male under 10, 1 male 10/16, 1 male 26/45, 1 female under 10, and 1 female 26/45.
It is also possible that Elizabeth (Colvin) Pettit died between 1825/1830 and Jonas Pettit remarried a younger woman.
