Jim, Scott, and Don have a GD of 0/25.

Conclusions Regarding Second Panel

  • The single mismatch that John, Scott and Don have with Agerton would have to be in the same position since the three Cooleys have a GD of 0/25 (it would be greater otherwise).

  • Those with a mutation in the second panel have a GD of 1 with CF01 and of 2 with Agerton. This would mean that the second mutation is not shared with Agerton and that he has the CF01 modal values, otherwise the GD of 1 with the modal would be greater. This would also mean that the first mutation is shared with Scott, Jim, and Don. Therefore, only one of the following grey (or light blue) values would be at variance with the modal. The blue markers denote those that appear to be significant to evaluating whether an STR haplotype might be positive for the SNP YP4248.

Conclusions Regarding Third Panel

  • Pretty much the same as above. Because Don (and several other testers) match the modal to 37 markers, so does Agerton except in the single mismatch to Don in panels one and two. If we take the number of third panel GD's in the first table, subtract those from the second panel then Don's single GD in the third panel, we're left with the mutations in the above five positions. Thus, Don's (and the modal's) value at those positions are Agerton's. Below is the third panel. One of the grey positions will have a GD of 1, a deletion or insertion.

  • No GD's to Agerton are reported for Cochran.

  • Whitfield also matches the CF01 modal to 37 matches. Therefore, the conclusion would be the same for him.

  • Although we know the Starie genotype, we don't have access to his matches.
