Missouri state census recrods

Apparently, the vast majority of it is long gone. Has anyone seen this
state census for 1840?

St Charles was formed as an original district in 1812, a year after the
Cooleys arrived. Howard was formed from St Charles and St Louis in 1816.
The timing is a little late but this would be worth looking at:
