I've updated http://ancestraldata.com/ahnentafel/256/ydna.html

I very much question loci #35. It seems unreasonable that there would be
so many deletions. I'll check into it.

I'm also beginning to doubt that we will be able to determine which son a
tester is from based in the results. Patterns are simply not emerging. I
suspect that the few mismatches there are among us were introduced in very
recent generations. In other words, I might find my "mutations" among fist
or second cousins but nothing among cousins more distant than that.
Really, there's a very high probability that all of John's sons, and even
grandsons, had identical Y's -- which is really the way I explain it to
people. It may be that we will one day begin to see patterns among
great-great-grandchildren of John's. For example, someone having my
mismatches may prove to be descendants of my David or his son Greenbury.
We just need a lot more data.

Well, if I live long enough, perhaps I'll find out. I may just have trust
that Jim will be able to put it together 20 or 30 years from now. :)

In the meantime, welcome to the clan, Ron! The Cooley DNA admin knows to
move your results up with CF01. Incidentally, on a matter we talked about
over the phone, it *would* greatly serve my academic curiosity if you
could get a cousin or two to test. Will they also have a mutation at
DYS-447? :)
