CABINET MAKER FOUND DEAD IN HIS SHOP
Ernest L. Cooley, 53 years old, proprietor of a cabinet shop at 1432
College Avenue, was found dead in bed at his place of business shortly after
11 o'clock Tuesday morning. Cooley was found by Charles Ross of the Great
Northern Hotel, when he called at the shop.
Coroner Denzil M. Ferguson went to the scene and pronounced death due to a
heart attack. He estimated that death had occurred about 12 hours before.
The police investigation was made by Lieut. Searcy and Radio Officers Ryan
and Riddle.
The body was removed to the P. J. Ryan and Sons Funeral Home, where it
will be held pending funeral arrangements. He is survived by a daughter,
Bernice, of Washington, D. C.; two brothers, John, of this city, and
Herbert, of Miami, Fla., and four sisters, Mattie, Mrs. Ester Boohouse, Mrs.
Olive Pruitt and Mrs. Ruth Hurst.
