Yes, I'm hoping to hear back from him again before the 31st.

I first proposed an Abraham descendant test about a year or so ago.
Several of us agreed we'd contribute to it. If anyone would like to do so,
you can go to this website:

It's a little funky in that you have to be careful to select the correct
group--which is "Cooley," btw :) In the Notes field put something like
"for Abraham tester." If we go a little over what's needed, it will just
be applied to the next test.

I'll let everyone know when it's been ordered.

For those of you who may be new to the list or otherwise missed the
discussion, Abraham is believed to have gone to New York from England by
c1780 and married Sarah Reed, believed to have been a woman of French
descent. He moved to Surry County NC in the '80s near our John Cooley,
hence the speculation the two men may have been related. The test should
clinch it one way or another.
