Right now World Vital Records has partnered with FamilyTree DNA and is
running a sale on DNA tests. See
http://www.worldvitalrecords.com/dna-tests/ The family finder
[autosomal] test is $173 with shipping. I have ordered a kit, but it has
not yet arrived. My great-great grandmother was Nancy Ann Cooley
(1818-1921), daughter of John Cooley and Annis Ann Harden, and wife of
Jacob Fees. But, that far back is getting to the limit of finding
possible matches, so the odds are slim that it will help with my Cooley
ancestry.
