Yes, it was 1955 when we met. I had just graduated from college and had accepted a job teaching first grade for Bellflower Unified School District. I followed by parents in my 1954 Pontiac red convertible along with a classmate who accepted a teaching position at the same school. What an adventure that was for me. I was 22 years old and had 36 students. Wouldn't the teachers today complain?

Yes! I second Michael's congrats to Sandy. I'm trying to remember the last time I saw my first cousin Dale. It might of been 1976. Unfortunately I was only 24 and trying to finish my PhD in physics and I didn't have time to talk to him about genealogy. That interest didn't really start for me until 2005 when I took a Y-DNA test and I got in contact with my first cousin Sandy (whom I haven't seen since age 3 in 1955?) and Michael.
Anyway, I'm very excited Sandy will get Dale's stuff.
BTW, a woman who descends from my (and Sandy's) Great-Great Grandfather Timothy Good "Tink" Cooley matched my DNA on Ancestry.com contacted me. This is her Cooley Line: Tink Cooley > Benjamin Franklin Cooley (I have a photo) > Thomas Jeffererson Cooley (I have a photo) > Laura Lizzie Cooley (I have a photo) > ...
