So he was not the son of John I Cooley as listed on the census; rather, he was John’s son-in-law.

Yes, I can answer your question -- Dalbert should be Talbert Cooley. Talbert was married to John I and Martha Cooley's daughter Elnora Cooley. They (Talbert and Elnora) were kinsman. Elnora died 28 July 1907 leaving Talbert with two small children Sadie and Ted. Talbert's full name was Washington Talbert Cooley and was from the John Cooley - Elizabeth White line. Talbert died in 1939 in Kirksville.


Ted Cooley died in 1958 in Kirksville without survivors and my uncle Elmo Cooley inherited from his estate. (At least that is what Aunt Deloris told me. She is Elmo cooley's wife. They are still living in the Phoenix area.



Sadie Cooley married RayBlurton and they died in WI.
