That would make sense. This is Johnny Appleseed (John Chapman) country.
His stepmother was Lucy Cooley of Springfield, MA. We know from DNA, of
course, that William Henry Cooley was not of that line.
Autosomol DNA tests might help tie these lines together (James of Jack
county, Wm Henry, and Stokes county), but they're too expensive, and
autosomol DNA is randomly inherited (unlike the Y and mtDNA). Matches mean
something, but mismatches mean virtually nothing.
