COOLEY
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at the Four-Square
church, Marshfield, for Mrs. Ben Cooley, 84, of Millington, who died this
morning at Mercy hospital. Mrs. Cooley had been ill two weeks. She came to
Coos Bay 24 years ago. Surviving are the widower and one son, George
Treanor, Millington. Burial will be in Sunset cemetery. Thuerwachter Funeral
home is in charge.
Her first husband was Donald M. Treanor b.Jan 1841 IL, & they had at least
3 children: James F. b.Dec 1876 NV, Stella b.Aug 1887 OR, & George Homer

Aubrey D. Cooley son of Benjamin and Mary Cooley was born on December 12,
1876 in Macon County, MO. He passed from this life on January 22, 1975 at an
age of 98 years one month and ten days.
He was united in marriage to Margaret Ellen Jones in Brookfield, MO on
January 23, 1898. To this union nine children were born. His wife passed
away on January 15, 1917.
He came in 1917 from Illinois to Oklahoma. He went on to Pritchett CO
where he homesteaded land.
He was united in marriage to Lola B. (Hitchcock) Evans on February 6,
1919. He moved to the Forgan OK community and lived the balance of his life.
He was injured in an accident in 1954. He had been a resident of the Beaver
County Nursing home since 1968.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two brothers, five
children, Orville Raymond, Lawrence, Clarence, Clara Marie and an infant
daughter. He is survived by; a son, Benjamin Jenkins Cooley, Forgan OK,
three daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Birkle of Beaver OK, Mrs. Daisy Frances
McNeill, Beaver OK and Mrs. Nellie Mazie Potter, Altus OK, 15 grandchildren,
36 great grandchildren many great great grandchildren other relatives,

ARCH E. COOLEY
Arch Elsworth, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben R. Cooley, was born Oct.
23, 1879, at Brookfield, Mo. Aug. 10, 1912, he was married to Miss Lydia
White of Harrison, Ark. Twelve children were born in this home, six boys and
six girls.
Mr. Cooley had been seriously ill since September 3 of this year and
passed away at the family home Nov. 7 at the age of 69. He is survived by
his companion of the home and these children: Mrs. Edith Boeck, Akron, Oh.;
Mrs. Pauline Snell, East Lynne; Mrs. Mary L. Cockrell, Borger, Texas; Mrs.
Esther Lacen, Baxter Springs, Kas.; Amy and Fred, St. Louis; Arthur, Archie
Daniel, Paul Eugene, Melvin Leroy and Jimmie of the home; three brothers,
Arb [Aubrey] Cooley, Forgan, Okla; W. A. Cooley and Lennie Jacobs, Kewanee,
Ill. An infant daughter preceded him in death. He also leaves 14
grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Nov. 9 in the Atkinson Bros. chapel in
charge of Rev. M. H. Zeller. Mrs. Alex Boutelier and Mrs. Ora Chisman sang
"The Old Rugged Cross" and "in the Sweet Bye and Bye," accompanied by
Ernestine Briles. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery.
