I haven't heard back yet, but they're on FB. I've just sent messages to
two Cooleys connected to them. Hopefully, the flood gates on this one will
open.
I used to think there was little chance RR were related. Proximity in this
case counts for little. After all, the Matthew Cooley who was in Jackson
co IN turns out to have been a descendant of William Cooley and Elizabeth
Firmin. Some of the Benjamin crowd were also in the area.
The NC connection is one thing, but the Cooley death at New Orleans is
another. Reuben is said to have had eight brothers. Something is bound to
happen with this line in time.
