I should do the same with my mother's tree, I know there are duplicate records and people and probably errors.

Thanks Nancy! I am surprised how close knit this family group is, I think after Pat Albert's parents and maybe brother died is when he went to live in St Joseph Mo. Before that he always lived with or near them. It makes me wonder why he lost touch with Mary Cooley, his daughter. I wonder if he knew when she died? As far as I knew he had never met my grandmother or her brother, or my mother though she was a little girl when he died.

Joseph C. 1868-1922 worked for and traveled with othe Milwaukee Road railroad so that's why they traveled so much and probably why they were in Sioux City at the time. Joseph Custer doesn't seem to appear on the 1905 Iowa census even tho born in 1904.

As I've delved more and more into our families I realized I copied some inaccurate stuff, some thanks to a lot learned thru this list and email correspondence. Thanks! Some familiar names from the Cooley list show up on Ancestry and I've grown to trust them.

We checked the addresses out last summer when we drove back to Virginia from Anchorage. One home still there and not far from the railroad yard. PC's grave also in Helena.
