I sent a couple of emails to the list today that were returned. Hopefully this one goes through. Thank you, Bonnie, for your wealth of information below.
 
I'm with you in that these families are connected. Adair county is just south of Schuyler county with Macon and Randolph south of Adair. The 1900 federal census lists the birthplace of Margaret Reed Cooley's father as Indiana and her mother as North Carolina. Seems to fit Joseph and Margaret senior? One of Margaret junior's sons is named Joseph.


Speaking of sons, Bonnie, you mentioned earlier that Margaret Cooley also had a son named Ira. Any more info on him or his age? Thanks.


Julie, Joel has photographed the rather large picture we have of Perrin C and Margaret (perhaps on their wedding day) and will send it to the list. Hope it works.
