That is interesting to know on how to find our discussions.  What I had been doing was going to the archive list and down to the person on the subject line.  Since this is so much work I don't do it very often. I do get blank emails which I can only read if I go to the archive list and click on it. Usually I don't bother. sandy ________________________________ From: "ancestr2_at_host187.hostmonster.com" <ancestr2_at_host187.hostmonster.com> To: John Cooley Mailing List <undisclosed.recipients_at_johncooley.net> Sent: Saturday, September 14, 2013 3:45 PM Subject: Re: A J C Cooley BTW, regarding the list software we're using, the only free list software my content provider has installed will not archive. I had to write the code for the mailer and install a freebie archiver. I'm aware of the limitations and bugs. I think the squirrelly =2C we're seeing are MS-DOS control characters... hexadecimal 20, for example, is a space, and 2D is a carriage return. I should be able to strip those out of messages. (Sending as plain text should do it but many MS programs keep them.) The archive script I use is very limited. There is no search function. I find, though, that I can find what I need through google. For example, "AJC Cooley" ancestraldata.com brings up our previous discussions about this. -Michael > Interestingly, I don't think I received either response in my email box. > So far as I know, that has never happened to me before.
