When Arthur Keirgan wrote these letters he was 84 years old, so I wonder about the accuracy of some of his writings. I know that Tink was really Timothy G Cooley not Thomas and Tant was really Randolph White, Jr.

I've appended the several Keirgan/Tallant letters into a single PDF and

It's 40+ pages and 15 megs. There's excellent information about the Joseph
and James Cooley families. I don't think Perrin's family is mentioned at
all. He makes some reference to families who we now know to have been
descendants of Daniel. He really had no idea who his mother's first
husband's first name was and makes a few guesses about his first name. On
more than a couple occasions he expresses confidence that he was "Uncle
Ben's" brother.
I've finally printed it out so that I can read it more carefully.
