The Wm G Cooley in Mississippi County, MO in your "Cooley US Land Patents in MO" is the son of Wm Mathews Cooley and one of the siblings of then deceased Jonathan Cooley m. Amy(ie) White. Amy Cooley (widow) lives in Scott Co, Mo in 1840, as does Wm G. Cooley (brother-in-law to Amy Cooley). In 1850, both Amy Cooley and Wm G Cooley are listed as living in Mississippi County, MO. I am related to this line of Cooleys through Jonathan, son of Wm Mathews Cooley. Amy and Jonathan's daughter Anna Elizabeth m. Isaiah Alexander Faris in Mississippi County, MO in 1846.. Their son George White Faris m. Emily Jane "Dixie" Kerr (G-granddaughter to the sister of Meriwether Lewis' mother) in 1871. Their daughter Price Emma Faris m. MO Judge and Congressman Ferdinand Hess, my G-grandfather.
