BTW, regarding the list software we're using, the only free list software
my content provider has installed will not archive. I had to write the
code for the mailer and install a freebie archiver. I'm aware of the
limitations and bugs.
I think the squirrelly =2C we're seeing are MS-DOS control characters...
hexadecimal 20, for example, is a space, and 2D is a carriage return. I
should be able to strip those out of messages. (Sending as plain text
should do it but many MS programs keep them.)
The archive script I use is very limited. There is no search function. I
find, though, that I can find what I need through google. For example,
"AJC Cooley" ancestraldata.com
brings up our previous discussions about this.
