Thank you for trying to organize the Cooley line. It is a difficult job. I have learned that Marshall County, KY was formed from Calloway County in 1842, Calloway from Hickman in 1821. Many of my Gibson County, Obion County relatives migrated to Hickman Co then Scott/Mississippi County, MO. Interesting that Seth and George W Cooley lived in neighboring Weakley County in 1830 and another brother of Jonathan, William G. Cooley resided in Calloway County, KY in 1830 (very near geographically), but I Cannot find Jonathan Cooley in 1830 darnit.
Now, Jonathan's sisters that m. Pile and Webster (Anne and Elizabeth) are in Scott Co by 1840 on same page as widow of Jonathan and in 1830 are in Calloway Co., KY. Jonathan and Amy HAD to be there as well. AJC appears in 1840 in Scott Co on same page as Webster, Pile and widow Amy. Her daughter m. James K Wilson and is on same page as well. AJC age would support his being Jonathan's son as well.
